Relationships are not accidental. They are God’s design for human life and reflect essential aspects of who God is and how He has ordered creation.
In a cultural landscape filled with advice about relationships—what to do, what to avoid, what works and what does not—it is easy to engage guidance without ever pausing to ask a more fundamental question: How did God intend relationships to be by design? What vision of relationship is woven into creation itself?
This guided conversation invites us to return to that foundational question. Drawing from the recent Formed Toward Wholeness teaching on Life-Giving Relationships by Design, we will reflect together on God’s vision for relationships and consider what it means to engage others in light of that design.
What we’ll Reflect on Together
Our conversation will be guided by prompts that support shared reflection rather than problem-solving. The aim is not to fix or resolve anything, but to exchange thoughts, to listen to one another, and to be attentive to God’s presence among us. Together, we will reflect on:
What stood out in the teaching and what felt newly illuminated or given clearer language?
Patterns we notice across our relationships as we consider God’s design for life-giving connection.
A closing reflection inviting attentiveness to what God may be drawing our awareness toward as we engage others.
